Directions:Adults: when practical, cleanse the affected area with mild soap and warm water and rinse thoroughly. Gently dry by patting or blotting with toilet tissue or a soft cloth before application of this product. Apply externally to the affected area up to 5 times daily. To use dispensing cap, attach it to tube, lubricate well, then gently insert part way into anus. Squeeze tube to deliver medication. thoroughly cleanse dispensing cap after use.
Children under 12 years of age: consult a physician.
Indications:Temporarily relieves the pain, soreness, burning and itching associated with hemorrhoids and other anorectal disorders while it forms a temporary protective coating over inflamed tissues to help prevent drying of tissues. Anusol Ointment is to be applied externally or in the lower portion of the anal canal. (The enclosed dispensing cap is designed to control dispersion of the ointment to the affected area in the lower portion of the anal canal only.)
Warnings:If condition worsens or does not improve within 7 days, consult a physician. Certain persons can develop allergic reactions to ingredients in this product. If the symptom being treated does not subside or if redness, irritation, swelling, pain or other symptoms develop or increase, discontinue use and consult a physician. In case of bleeding, consult a physician promptly. Do not exceed the recommended daily dosage unless directed by a physician. Do not put this product into the rectum by using fingers or any mechanical device or applicator. Keep this and all drugs out of the reach of children. In case of accidental ingestion, seek professional assistance or contact poison control center immediately.
